Reaching this isolated landmass requires launching from the Cape Cales cliffside using a paraglider or constructing a customized Zonai flying machine. Once you arrive on the sandy shore, you will encounter an NPC who sets the stage for your upcoming adventure.
Before you can discover the entrance to the shrine, you must accept and initiate the local side quest titled Seeking the Pirate Hideout. This preliminary task involves tracking down and completely eliminating three distinct monster outposts scattered across the island's rocky terrain. Clearing these camps is essential because it triggers the next phase of the investigation.
Infiltrating the Pirate Hideout
After successfully defeating the initial monster groups, you must head towards the large cliffside at the southeastern tip of the island. You will need to leap from the high ledge and carefully glide down into a massive, hidden coastal cave facing the open ocean. Inside this dark cavern, you will discover a massive pirate ship filled with hostile monsters that immediately engage you in battle.
Defeating these final enemies requires tactical movement and making clever use of your combat abilities inside the cramped cave environment. Once the ship is cleared of threats, you can freely explore the rest of the subterranean cavern to find your reward. If you look closely past the ship towards the rear wall, the familiar glowing green spiral will become visible.
Crossing the Cavern Obstacles
Although the destination is finally in sight, a dangerous pit filled with sharp spikes and deep water blocks your direct path. Overcoming this environmental obstacle requires using your Ultrahand ability to construct a safe bridge using nearby building resources. You can easily connect the large wooden logs and floating planks scattered around the pirate ship to span the gap.
Alternatively, players can use advanced Zonai devices or simple navigation techniques to safely cross the hazardous zone. Once you step foot onto the solid rock platform on the other side, you can finally activate the ancient doorway. This unlocks the fast travel point and grants you access to the peaceful chamber hidden within.
Claiming Rauru's Blessing
Because the arduous journey to locate and enter the cave serves as the main trial, the interior features Rauru's Blessing. This means you do not have to solve any complex puzzles or face additional enemies once you step through the portal. The developers designed this space as a direct reward for your perseverance and tactical success outside.
Inside the chamber, you will immediately see a stylized treasure chest waiting to be opened right before the altar. Opening this container rewards you with a valuable piece of equipment that enhances your overall inventory strength. Finally, approach the terminal to receive your Light of Blessing and officially mark this objective as complete.
